Rancherita, los jodidos and the Musical Ranch

Once upon a time in a far, far away land called San Nicolas de los Garza Garcia lived a lovely Rancherita. Her name, well her name doesn't really matter, what matters the most is her profession: our Rancherita was a lawyer, and a sweet one indeed. As all Rancheritas who are lawyers, she was very fond of getting into tight places like small closets and excrutiating jobs and then swiftly coming out of them, the closets and the jobs, as if she had planned every move, meticulosly. Rancherita was also very worried of helping other with her work.

Rancherita was working at a Musical Ranch when suddenly she had to quit (she was changing Ranchos) So Rancherita quitted, but the same day she chose to leave the Musical Ranch hundreds of Rancheritos were on the street crying becuase they lost their jobs. Some of them had been working there for more than 20 years, but the big Rancherito bosses didn't care (actually, the major Boss Big Caca Rancherito was conveniently on vacations) The Musical Ranch and its laid off Rancheritos were devastated and all because a bigger group of Rancheritos from a far, far away land called "El otro lado" had decided to cut "unnecesary" work force. Rancherita was absolutely ashamed to see the other Rancheritos on the street with dreary looks on their faces, so instead of saying she had quitted to go live in a Fairy Tale Castle far, far away from San Nicolas de los Garza Garcia she said she had also been laid off. Rancherita couldn't bare the image of eternal unfairness that sorrounded her.

When Rancherita got home she realized that was the reason why years ago she had decided to stop being a lawyer. One can not fight injustice when destiny has so many jodidos tripping over the same piedras. One, not even hot shot Rancherita, can't fight fate and give a clean slate and a new begining to the whole bunch of Rancheritos jodidos. No matter how big the effort or how good the intentions. After all one can only make a difference in a person's life. One by one.

So that is why Rancherita, is still going to be Rancherita but, not a practicing lawyer Rancherita anymore, her weak heart can-t take it any longer. Rancherita is now going to try to help the old fashioned way...by touching specific lives with banana bread and stories, hoping that this Rancheritos will in turn touch other lives. Rancherita used to think this approach was cheap and not worthy of a real Rancherita, but after a few years of living in the Real Life Rancho she has realized that this is the only way to change.

So Rancherita is ready to become a writer and a mother ... Rancherito her brave and handsome red haired husband is going to be excited to read this! It is unfair to bring a little rancherito into this world, yes, but it is even less fair to deprive this world of a little red haired Rancherito hope.
